Honoring Our Gifts: Gratitude Exercise

You’ll see a ton of gratitude exercises each day and I LOVE them. However, I always felt there was something missing. It’s wonderful to acknowledge the people, events, characteristics, and everything else that comes as a gift to us. There’s so much to be thankful for, and I don’t think it’s quite enough.

Action creates reality – not just thoughts. So this challenge is different.

We are going to acknowledge and then HONOR the gifts we receive. That means we’ll act out our gratitude in some way. Whether that is a ritual, writing a letter, connecting with that gift or doing something to nurture it.

There’s many ways we can honor it in just a few minutes each day. Why? Because when we show the Universe (God, spirit, source, or what makes sense for you here) that we are thankful with actions, we make space to receive more and SEE more. Plus you’ll also experience these other benefits:

  • Be more present to the gifts in your everyday life
  • Take a moment to become grounded physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually
  • Feel more connected to who you are
  • Come from a new perspective of all of life becoming a gift
  • Open space for new gifts to come into your life

Gratitude is great. Honoring is an ACT of gratitude.

How does it work? Each day we’ll give you a sample prompt of something to be grateful for and something to do about it. It doesn’t have to be a hard or difficult action, just some small way we can embrace and truly show that we care for and honor that gift. We’ll also offer some ideas for honoring those gifts and maybe a little optional teaching along the way.
