In a previous post, I talked about the importance of having an email list (even today when people say email is over). There are many tools that you can use to collect email addresses and send email updates out, but I often focus on frugal tools that work well. In another previous post, I talked about two great tools, Mailchimp and Mailerlite and the differences between them. Since I use both, I wanted to show you both really quick and a general walk-through of how to set up a sign-up page.
Today, I am sharing Mailchimp. Mailchimp is a tool that’s been out for a long time and starts out free up to 500 contacts and then is quite affordable after that. It is one of the most integrated email tools in the industry so you can likely use it with any other tool you use like a calendar, a website or more.
Another great feature of Mailchimp is that you do not have to have a website up and running in order to get started. They also now offer the automation with the free account even though previously you had to pay for that feature.
But more importantly, you want to see it in action, so check out this short video on how to set up a sign-up gate in Mailchimp.
