Healthy Harmony: The Kale-Nutella Generation

We are at an abundance in this generation. We have an abundance of healthy foods and an abundance of processed food-like substances (many of which are ooey-gooey delicious even if they aren't 'food'). We are lucky to be able to eat the chocolate hazelnut spread and the fresh organic kale. Perhaps you've run into the same dilemma as the rest of us -- how do I stay healthy while participating in the innovative processed foods or satisfying my love of bacon? It's about harmony. In this talk, we'll discuss how we step into healthier foods that sticks over time, rather than isolated times of dieting and not dieting. Quit the dieting and get a health-harmony plan.

The Essentials of Healthy Eating

There's a ton of labels like organic, non-gmo, pasture-raised, cage-free, no gluten, natural, and on and on, but what do they mean? Not to mention the competing theories over whether it’s the fat or the sugar that leaves us overweight and exhausted. If you've given up because you just can't decide what is healthy - I want you to know that it's simpler than everyone wants you to know. In this workshop, we talk about the basics of healthy food. We'll talk about the harmony of foods in our diet, what keeps us from losing weight even when we count the calories, and we'll learn what calories really tell us (which isn't as much as you think). Learn how you don't have to sacrifice your taste buds or satisfaction to eat healthier.

(Longer workshops include a hands-on food planning piece where we easily plan the next 2 weeks with delicious, healthy foods and recipes ready to go. I will also talk about how I food prep for the week and offer resources to set them up for three weeks.)

Making Healthy Habits Stick

We know the benefits of healthier habits, yet so many of us make a new year's resolution just to have completely forgotten by February. Why is change so hard? We'll talk about the dynamics of our humanness is making change and how we can rewire our brains to make us want the good choice rather than the old standard. If you are like my clients, you want to see impact as soon as possible. That's why we'll focus on the tools that offer the greatest impact in small increments of time so you continue to be motivated to stay on track.

Thriving Happiness

What is happiness? Defining happy for you.

Happy is a general term. We all say we want to be happy, but for each of us, happy means something different. We'll talk about the commonalities and the fundamentals of happiness as psychologists have found it. We'll also have some exercises to discover our own true happiness and what that actually feels like for us. You'll uncover things about yourself you may not even have known and you'll get that much closer to being happy. Depending on the length of the workshop, we'll also dive into how we use this information to make goals, plans, decisions and more.

The Gift Perspective

What if everything you have had been handed to you with reverence and honor, hand to hand? If someone you loved had hand crafted every bit of your life knowing it was a gift you'd enjoy or learn from, would you honor even the challenges in your life? My theory is that you would. By taking on what I call 'The Gift Perspective" we turn our inner stories that are against us around to encourage and inspire us to move forward. The results with myself and my clients are that we can see more possibility where it was blocked before, we use obstacles as stepping stones on the way to our dreams and we spend more time being curious to find gifts than being fearful or anxious about the unknown.

This is a signature talk I love! We'll talk about the Gift Perspective --- what it means, how we implement it and why we'd want to. Chances are, by the end of the talk, you'll have a different perspective than when you began listening. You'll see gifts you've never noticed before or recognized as gifts and we'll make a plan for this to grow.

Finding Personal Purpose & Meaning

Lately, there's a lot of people asking to find more purpose - searching it out like they'll fid it right around the corner, in the next aisle, on a shelf waiting just for them. I'm those people, or I was until I learned what really worked for me. (Hint: It wasn't something I could find in any of the aisles.)

In this short workshop, we'll talk about it. We'll define purpose. What that means to you and what it means to happiness. We'll have some hands-on activities to dive deeper into who we are to unlock more of what matters most to us - even if you're as apathetic as I once was.

Thriving Personal Power: Honoring Your Health, Happiness, and Connections

Ever feel powerless to change your life? Or maybe like the world is against you? The traffic, and the weather, and the kid who won't get out of bed so you're running late, and the spouse who left the gas on empty, and the mother who calls continuously until you answer… There's probably not much debilitating like feeling powerless. Fortunately, powerlessness is a state of being that we choose. We always have power, in just about every situation. I won't guarantee that you have the power to make everything to meet your expectations, but I can guarantee, at about every part of your 'free' life, you have power.

In this workshop, I teach you how. I help you find your own personal, unique, powerful gifts and also look at ways you haven't been using them to your best advantages. We'll also look at all the places you leave your power or give it freely away… and more importantly, why.

Embracing the Archetypal Energies

Carl Jung is a famous psychologist known for many things, among which archetypes are my favorite. Archetypes are energies of different 'roles' or 'characters' within us. We have access to all of them, however, of experiences and thoughts have usually molded a couple to be strongest. By understanding the energies of the archetypes, how they show up in our lives and what we truly want, we can embrace the energy that we need in each situation in order to serve us best.

An example to help you understand: Afraid of confrontation? If you bring your sovereign and warrior energy forward, you could have more courage. Or perhaps you need your wise elder because your warrior is too strong.

In this workshop, we'll look at the different energies, assess where our strongest ones are and look at where they have been helpful and other times when they are not at their best. Then we'll work on what energies might serve you best.

Thriving Connections

Rewiring Your Beliefs about Relationships

If you've been struggling with a relationship in your life, intimate or other, and maybe this isn't the first time, this workshop will help you get to the bottom of it. We'll look at your individual beliefs about relationships, where those beliefs formed and what you truly believe. We'll also look closely at what you envision for the relationship you want to have and the actions you can take in making that happen. This workshop has hands-on exercises to learn more about yourself so that by the end of the session you'll have a much clearer understanding of what you want -- not just what you don't want.

Thriving Relationships: Finding Your Soul Mate

In this workshop we'll look at what love is and what a soul mate is. We'll look at love addiction and assess what we are actually looking for in a soul mate. We'll create a vision and then take a deeper look with in-session exercises to dive deeper to understand if we fit the vision you're dreaming of.

We'll look at the foundations of thriving relationships and how we communicate in the language of love. This course will prepare you to fully understand who you want in a relationship, and also what you need to work on in order to fit into your ideal vision.

Breaking Relationship Patterns

Whether you are aware of past patterns or you are experiencing them now (maybe without even knowing), this workshop will dive into where our patterns form and why we experience relationships the way we do. If you know there's a pattern that's not working, you'll be able to get clearer on it. Once you understand the pattern, we'll talk about the ways to break the pattern so that you can have the relationship you really want. Whether you are single or wanting to stop a pattern that is happening in a current relationship, this workshop will help.

Having the hard talk: Making difficult conversations easier

Just about everyone dreads having to give bad news, negative feedback or confronting a challenging situation. It's not fun or easy to initiate these conversations so many of us avoid them -- which usually makes the whole situation worse. Become a powerful communicator - even of bad news - in this workshop. You'll learn the best way to approach difficult conversations, what to say and how to hold space for the reactions. While you can't control how the other person takes the news, you can do your best to deliver it in a clean, honoring way that is likely to deepen a relationship and the trust in that connection. It's possible to turn a bad conversation to a relationship building experience. This session offers the skills to smooth communication.
